Malmö

Malmö is the third largest city in Sweden after Stockholm and Gothenburg and the seventh largest in the Nordic region, on the Öresund strait on the south-west coast. It is the largest city in Scania with a municipal population of 365,644 in 2024 and the seat of Skåne County. It received its city privileges in 1353. Copenhagen is twenty minutes away across the bridge, which has quietly made Malmö part of a two-country metropolitan area rather than a Swedish provincial capital.
