Lund

Lund is a city in the province of Scania in southern Sweden, with 94,393 inhabitants out of a municipal total of 130,288 as of 2023, and the seat of Lund Municipality in Scania. The wider Öresund Region it belongs to holds more than 4.2 million people. Archaeologists date its founding to around 990, when Scania was part of Denmark, and from 1103 it was the seat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lund, the cathedral founded in or shortly after that year. The university dominates it entirely.
