Lech am Arlberg

A mountain village on the river Lech at 1,444 metres, a figure that refers to the old church on its hill, of which 58 per cent of the municipal area is Alpine and only 14 forested. Geographically and historically it belongs to the Tannberg, though tourism treats it as part of the Arlberg region, and it is administered with Zürs, Zug, Oberlech and Stubenbach. It is an exclusive resort catering to wealthy visitors, the Dutch royal family ski here regularly, and one of the twelve members of the Best of the Alps group.
