Bokrijk

Bokrijk is a provincial estate near Genk in Limburg, five and a half square kilometres of park built around an open-air museum. Historic buildings from across Flanders were moved here and reassembled to show how rural life in the region worked, farmhouses, a village street, workshops. The domain also holds an arboretum of some importance, a nature reserve and the largest open-air playground in Flanders. It is a place that works for a whole day rather than an hour, and the estate paths connect straight into the wider Limburg cycling network for anyone arriving by bike.
