Smögen

Smögen faces the Skagerrak in Sotenäs Municipality, Bohuslän, with 1,329 inhabitants in 2010 and a reputation as one of the liveliest summer towns on the Swedish west coast. The community originally straddled several islands lying so close together that the gaps between them have since been filled, leaving what is now treated as one. The wooden boardwalk along the harbour runs some 2,000 feet, lined with shops set in old fishing huts, and the crowds that fill it arrive with the summer.
