Rome

Rome is the capital and most populated comune of Italy, the administrative centre of Lazio and of the Metropolitan City of Rome. Roma Capitale is a special comune of 2.7 million people across 1,287 square kilometres, making it the third most populous city in the European Union within its own limits. It is a city whose history spans twenty-eight centuries and sits on top of itself rather than beside itself, a Republican temple in a modern piazza, a medieval church over something older still. It rewards walking and punishes hurrying.
