Niagara Falls

Three waterfalls at the southern end of the Niagara Gorge on the border between Ontario and New York. Horseshoe Falls straddles the line and is the most powerful waterfall in North America by flow rate; the smaller American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls lie inside the United States, separated by Goat Island and Luna Island. The Niagara River drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, and together the falls carry the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America and the seventh largest in the world, more than 168,000 cubic metres a minute at peak hours.
