Natchez Trace Parkway

A limited-access parkway commemorating the historic Natchez Trace and preserving sections of the original trail, its central feature a two-lane road running 444 miles from Natchez, Mississippi to Nashville, Tennessee. More than fifty access points open onto it across Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee, and Jackson, Tupelo and Florence lie along the way. The historian Paul Hardin Kapp has called it the most enjoyable and romantic way to arrive in the city, and the greatest legacy of the Natchez Garden Club.
