Jasmund National Park

Jasmund National Park is a nature reserve on the Jasmund peninsula in the north-east of Rügen, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is famous for the largest chalk cliffs in Germany, the highest of them the Königsstuhl, the king’s chair, rising 118 metres above the Baltic. The highest point in the park overall is the Piekberg at 161 metres. Old beech forest runs right to the cliff edge, and the coastal path along the top is the walk, with the white face of the cliffs visible from the water below.
