Sanssouci

Sanssouci is a historical building in Potsdam, near Berlin, built by the Prussian king Frederick the Great as his summer palace and often counted among the German rivals to Versailles. It is in the more intimate Rococo style and is far smaller than its French counterpart, but is similarly notable for the temples and follies scattered through the surrounding park. The palace sits at the top of its terraced vineyard, and the park behind it is large enough to spend a whole day in without repeating ground.
