About Alba
Alba is a town in the province of Cuneo and one of the main towns of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. It is famous for its white truffle, celebrated at its annual Truffle Festival, and for wine: 290 wineries in the area cultivate 700 hectares and produce an average of 61,200 hL a year. The modern town occupies the site of Roman Alba Pompeia, and it is home to the confectionery group Ferrero. It joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in October 2017. Come in autumn, for the truffles and the harvest.
