Holmenkollen Ski Jump

The ski jump above Oslo has been rebuilt nineteen times since competitions moved here in 1892, most recently between 2008 and 2010, when the whole structure was demolished and raised again from nothing. It is a large hill (HS134, construction point K-120) with room for 70,000 spectators on the slopes around it, and it has carried the Holmenkollen Ski Festival for over a century. The 1952 Winter Olympics were decided here, as were the Nordic World Ski Championships of 1930, 1966, 1982 and 2011. Robert Johansson holds the hill record at 144 metres. Cross-country and biathlon venues share the same arena.
