Alberobello

Alberobello, literally beautiful tree, is a small town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Bari in Apulia, with 10,237 inhabitants as of 2022. It is famous for its trulli, the drystone houses with conical roofs, which have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, and the town is one of I Borghi più belli d’Italia. Whole streets of them stand together here rather than scattered across fields, which is what makes it unlike anywhere else in the region.
