Hamburg

Hamburg, officially the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, is the second largest city in Germany after Berlin and the sixth largest in the European Union, with over 1.9 million people and more than 5.1 million across its metropolitan region, the tenth largest in the EU by GDP. At the base of the Jutland Peninsula, the 110-kilometre Elbe estuary begins here. It has more bridges than any other city in Europe, and the warehouse district and the harbour are the two things worth building a visit around.
