Lake Constance

Lake Constance, the Bodensee, is really three bodies of water on the Rhine at the northern foot of the Alps: the Obersee, the Untersee, and the stretch of river between them called the Seerhein. They sit in the Lake Constance Basin in the Alpine Foreland, through which the Rhine flows. Nearby Mindelsee is not counted as part of it. Three countries meet on its shores, the Alps stand behind the southern side, and a continuous cycle route runs the whole way round.
