Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Rothenburg above the Tauber, is a town in the Ansbach district of Middle Franconia, in the Franconia region of Bavaria. It is known for a remarkably well-preserved medieval old town and draws visitors from around the world, forming a stop on the Romantic Road through southern Germany. It is one of only four towns in Germany that still have their complete town walls, and those walls can be walked most of the way round, above the roofs and out over the valley.
